Keep flashing time/date stamp throughout his shift, still nothing happening. Finally he gets a call, it=s a 10-57.... he gets VERY excited, starts executing a cautious U-turn and begins explaining what a 10-57 is when the call comes back, AUnit 12, disregard.... the cow has crossed the street safely@. Disappointed officer. More improv as he tries explaining why he became a cop, what he likes about it, etc.... just filling up time.... date/time stamps continue, no calls.... he=s getting desperate. Finally the dispatcher sends out a AATTENTION ALL UNITS, CODE RED, 10-99 at 1447 West Broadway. Repeat, CODE RED, 10-99 1447 West Broadway, All units in the vicinity, please respond!@ Tires squeal, officer does a high speed 180.... lights and siren... as officer pulls up to the business, see other squad cars arriving with lights and sirens blaring, officers RUNNING for the door.... pull back, see the officer is Atoo late@.... it=s a doughnut shop and a 10-99 means they only had 1 doughnut left.
