The Jerry Winters Show

Set:

Studio talk show set ala Jerry Springer with Chairs for guests and risers for audience.

Music:

(what does the Springer show have?)

Actors:

Host: Jerry Winters (ala Springer)

Bouncers: big & burly

Guests: (opposite pairs such as: KKK &Black person; Nazi Skin Head & Jewish Holocaust victim, Gay person & homophobe).

Extras: Studio Audience

Costumes:

Each guest dresses appropriately for their character. Jerry in suitcoat and tie. Bouncers in black shirts. Studio audience in street clothes.

Synopsis:

Jerry introduces first guest to audience then brings in their opposite, hoping to get a fight or rise out of them. In fact, each pair of guests are VERY civil to each other, sharing ideas, listening politely to each other, supporting each other etc etc. Jerry tries throwing in more and more controversy, but guests start sticking up for their opponent.... add new guests, same concept. Springer getting more and more upset and worked up that his guests are so polite.... Springer finally steps in and tries hitting/fighting with the guests while being held back by his own body guards.

Script:

Mostly improv, as we want "real" reactions from the audience and guests.

Only script should be for Jerry (and he can use his hand-held cue cards), as it’s important for him to build up his lines to be more and more offensive.
